It is cute hearing a little one learning to speak. My 21 months old has more than enough when she speaks. She has a lot of copying, just like what a parrot does.
Yesterday was extraordinary as we went out for a visit to a Halloween show in the shopping center. While patiently waiting for the lift to open, she looks around. She knew there were plenty of people who were as well waiting and she made sure that we were ready. When the lift finally opened, I said, “Quick Dad”. And without any doubt she copied what I said to the finest detail, “quick Dad”. People couldn’t believe a little girl(as little as her) can utter such words. I know it is just a short word but you wouldn’t expect her to say that in public. Aah, kids!
She also says wawa for water. So we know whenever she needs to drink. She doesn’t just point where the water is, she also says, “Mummy, wawa!”.
