A hard job paid off! Our little girl exerted all her effort on this as she likes to have a pumpkin this Halloween. The school has pumpkin and why can’t she have any? I helped her (of course), and her teachers said, according to her, that they are not allowed to touch or handle sharp knives, only Mummy and Daddy. She is very good in following her teachers’ commands. No wonder she was graded as very good!

Well, I think we did a great job on that. It is her first time to wear halloween costume too and I think it will be our first time raiding the shopping centers for our treat or tricking.

I’ve just finished cleaning our bathrooms and I can say that it has been long since I last cleaned them myself. Hubby was off for several days for he was sick after working 8 days straight. He always cleans the bathroom as he is good at it, he says. He is indeed a brilliant cleaner so I left the cleaning of the bathrooms to him. I am in the kitchen and some other parts of the house because he is poor at organizing. Believe me, you wouldn’t trust a man with arranging a few things in the house, especially the wardrobes.

Well, it didn’t take me time to disinfect the bathrooms. The shower doesn’t have a glass tile but it is never a problem,thanks to my cleaning solution. I remember cleaning a brand new house with everything modern in it. The tiles all round the bathrooms (4 bathrooms)were easy to manage. We obviously just need warm water when cleaning for it makes them spotless once washed. I would like to have the same when blessed to buy a house of our own.

Will you believe that a clean house represents you? I think so,too. A clean house is like having a clean soul. No secrets, nothing but a pure you!

It is Halloween and we are having a party at a friend’s house. We are invited but I am still contemplating whether we go there or not. I am so confuse as dear husband is still at work. He might be so tired and besides, we still have an early activity in church the day after. We have different circle of friends and I am thinking of keeping ourselves distant to anything. Socializing has a price. We need to keep our budget well managed and if we keep on going out socialize, it will be badly affected. We sure just don’t want to celebrate a special day without contributing, i.e gift or anything we could present to the group.

I am confuse.I maybe running out of time to prepare Maja Blanca as my contribution because it is around 4o’clock here now.But am sure happy that any simple celebration that our group has, they will never fail to invite us. Isn’t it a privileged to be part of it?

Have you ever wondered why some people use illegal or prohibited drugs as their retreat? It is annoying to hear that drug users cannot stop using them, hence addicted to them, even if it means putting their health at risk. There was a man interviewed on TV once and hearing his stories, you could quickly realize that there are people who are obviously need advice and help. A friend also commented on how my husband handles stress well just because he smokes. He is using it as his excuse when stressed. I know it is his will power that is overridden by his thoughts that he couldn’t solve problems without a smoke. My husband has his own way of handling stress, though some of the few things still exist. I know cigarettes or illegal drugs are not the only answer to our problems.

However, it maybe is too late to stop using them, which is why there are drug rehab treatment centers available. They will not only help them stop but will also help in reinventing or embrace them back to themselves prior to drug abuse. It may take time to encourage them but there is no harm in trying. Help somebody now by reaching out.

My little girl is now been using Aveeno for almost a year. Her skin loves it as any body lotions didn’t work on her skin. I couldn’t have been happier if I knew about this Aveeno since then, she shouldn’t have suffered from dry skin that also caused us to shave her hair all off.

Looking at how long some girls’hair of her age are now,I feel so down because we could have done better than shaving it off. She obviously would have love to have longer hair, but because it takes long before she would have it, she is contented by putting hair clips when going to school. She also loves combing her Moxie Girl’s hair and tells me that she wants to have hair like her in the future.Hopefully her hair grows faster too. I miss fixing her long hair. I am happy with her skin honesty. We’ve been maintaining Aveeno and it doesn’t matter whether is a bit expensive than other brands.

We may have our children in school, but it is not only them that are offered free education and training. Parents are also offered training that we could use in looking for jobs or a change of career. There are a lot of courses that I would have loved to get involved in, but most of them are done in the morning and there are no spots for my little girl in the creche. We are in the afternoon session so we need a creche that will look after her while I am in the training. A friend is lucky to have her in-laws look after her daughter. She goes to all the classes and she’s learning and picking every bit of it. The most especial course that I was willing to take was the First Aid. I have mentioned that I really would like to be a Nurse. I always aspire to work in a medical field. There is also a Manual Handling Course offered in a different school which I could also go, but I have the same problem, that is to find someone to mind my little girl.

First aid course was my interest because I love helping people. I was encouraged with my training back home but I never actually did an actual rescue. I have been aware of anything that is going on here when ambulances are on the move on the road. I always watch A&E programs,too. With accidents that involve injuries, who do you think will cover the cost? I always thought of that hence; emergency cost here is way to high that not everybody could afford. Remember my story about my husband calling an ambulance when I was just days from miscarriage? What held me not to allow him was the cost of calling an ambulance and the hospital care. However, back to the road emergency, there is a type of insurance that doesn’t just cover the car. Though specializes in RV, Good Sam offers medical assistance program that also covers the owners. With that in mind, you won’t have to bother thinking about where to get the money to pay for your bill. With regards to our medical expenses now? Thanks to the government who looks after the welfare of their tax payers.

Kids today are indeed well advanced when it regards to learning new things, words etc.,especially in this side of the world. With what I have observed, kid’s program helps a lot with interaction and speech. Also, good manners are shown and it is the best way to remind them when they are naughty,best example is my little girl.

It is amazing how quick my little girl learns. She might just be watching those programs but she easily remembers the next thing once the program is repeated, hence programs in Nick Junior are always repeated.

Best of all, I am proud when her teachers told me that she is very good and occupies herself with something. She has good initiative.

Today is the last day of school before mid term break. As we were handed notes yesterday regarding their early closing, many parents where there early unsuspectingly waiting for the teachers to open the door. I supposed the teachers were as well shocked to see parents already in the queue, we were an hour early and there was chaos outside because morning and afternoon sessions met. Some parents couldn’t find a parking space while others were horribly afraid that they are late.

I was there a minute before the said closing time. Because there were many parents going in and out already, I unexpectedly stumbled on our neighbour before. We were neighbours for almost 2 years and her kids always played with my little girl. I don’t know where they are now but I am glad that her children go to the same school. She has this great smile with flawless face that I couldn’t imagine I would have. She seemed to have been taken care of by her parents and she seemed hasn’t been exposed to sunshine when growing up back home. What I hate most on my face is my chin acne that I don’t know how to get rid off. At first I thought it’s the dirt or oil from foods when eating. But the more I clean them up, the more they become. I have read some articles online and it is said that it is common.

Well, as we were standing there waiting for the teachers to open the door, after a couple of minutes, it finally opened. To our surprise, the teachers said that the notes weren’t supposed to be for the early start (afternoon) session. We weren’t supposed to be there early as they are releasing them at a normal time. What could we do? Some parents were upset as they were somewhere else to do some business and on a hurry, afraid of being late and only to be disappointment. I didn’t go home though. I stayed an hour more chatting with a friend. We were not bothered by whatever the disappointment was. I am even glad because if they didn’t do that, I wouldn’t have met our neighbor.

Next week will our mid-term break and I am happy because I got a chance to sleep longer and not to worry whether or not we are going to be late for school. Poor Dad because he has to go work and be ready early in the morning. It would have been lovely if all of us are off work/school so we could just spend time together. It is cold out there, not the best time to go out to park or somewhere fun.

It is not long though for it is only for a week. We are just off for Halloween and speaking of Halloween, we had a fruit party at school. My little girl dressed up like a witch and so as many other little girls. There was batman, buzz light year, skeleton and a doctor. It was the witches’ costume that sells more. It is a fun experience both for new parents and young children who got to experience Halloween party, first time. After school a few of us went to the shopping center as it was art day. We colored some Halloween pictures that we soon gonna put up on our walls. Halloween has a different picture here compared to what we used to do back home.

My hair definitely knows when the season is going to change. I lose hundreds of strands everyday, worst when I wash it at least every other day. Looking at those loose hairs, I am afraid that I get bald someday. I definitely don’t want to experience that. I am glad however, because I see new hairs shooting like seedlings in a nursery. It just doesn’t look good though.

I know a lot of women experience hair loss. There are a lot of reasons behind it but I know that my own also has another reason why it happened. I am currently taking something that might contribute to that. Also, there are shampoos that don’t work on a type of hair that we have. But for those who are losing hair that much, there is shampoo for thinning hair.

It is winter and my husband understands that it is the season again when he sees hair all over the place. It is not my intention to lose hairs. I make sure that I tie my hair but it easily pulls off. Not even to talk hairs on my bed.
