Obviously, this is the best summer that I have experienced in three (3)years of being in Ireland. The weather is so cool and temperature is very good. Just like Michael Jackson's death. People were so into him these days because of his music that lives on for decades. Would you have thought that this day would come? That almost everyone be stunned by his lost?

How could I forget his moonwalk? And my brother, who’s every single day as I can remember, begged me to buy him MJ's CD while I was living in Manila? I did try to look for it but I could not just find time to roam round the capital.Thanks hubby for bringing him the complete Michael Jackson CD set. That was a big surprise. It wasn't planned.Hubby didn't know about his desire to own them.Hubby came with a lot of CDs and he likes Michael Jackson too.The moment my brother saw Shady with those CD plus a portable CD player, he didn't missed a minute but to asked it from it.My lil bro(25) was over the moon.

As I have said in my other blog, he must be very sad.I could not just contact him.Mother asked me to keep ringing but I just couldn't.Bless his heart.

Greeting cards make it special...

Greeting cards play a big role to whatever the occasion is. With or without a gift, a simple card would still make the day. Back when I was in grade school, we make simple cards with any resources that we could get. We did not have to buy ready-made ones because they were not as accessible like these days. A simple sheet of paper folded into four would do. We draw using our pencils or if we are lucky, we could just share crayons just to add color to our art. Nevertheless, as our teacher said, it's the thought that counts. And our parents as the recepients[always couldn't be happier to have received such simple but eloquent present.

Would you believe that I only got my art set when I already graduated school? I lacked so much of school supplies, and when I compare the then and now, I would say it is a complete opposite. My daughter[2 years old] already owns a lot. Honestly, on father’s day, we tried making our personalized/ homemade greeting cards. We made one during our crèche in the church and one again at home. We are just thankful that the Dad appreciated it, though Father’s Day to him is not as important as Mother’s Day and Birthdays.

Just give me a word and a reward!

I just remember how poor we are back home. We have cotton pillows and sometimes to make them last, we packed them with used clothing. Those pillows are lovely by then. We can only use one each, because we are five. While other's do not have, we considered still lucky to have owned some.

I have forgotten about it..

I cannot imagine how bad I am not to greet my father on this very day, the FATHER's DAY.I have missed a lot because of what had been going through my head. I would admit that it is not only this issue that I have to worry about as I have not contacted my family back home for over a week now. Would you blame me for doing such? There were times that I kept on ringing them, however, there isn't that right time for them to be ready for my calls.Sometimes, the battery is dead. Other times, they couldn't hear me, poor signal as they say.I would want to make it a point to call them early morning there so that all of them are present. The only problem here is, that would be in the middle of the night where everyone is fast asleep.

Anyway,even if I have greeted him, it wouldn't make any difference because we are not used to it. While I was there, we don't even greet each other's a Happy Birhtday. We are somewhat "non-verbal" people.We are into actions, as they speak more than words.

School holiday is nearly here. It would be fun because our playground within the premises would be full with kids, once again. Online shopping gives me peace of mind

Yes, it does. In fact, I bought most of my computer accessories online. Thank you friends for helping me through it. I am happy that I am now enjoying some of them, though the tiny retractable mouse is broken because of my active toddler. At first, I thought I should buy her a desktop computer. I know it is still early but her activities online like Starfall and Cbeebies taught her a lot. She reads ABC's now, counts 1-10 and learn nursery rhymes.

The Dad said that he is willing to give his laptop computer. After all, it is more than 5 years old now, seems so left out with the latest technologies that are just coming out to market. She is also doing some drawing and she identifies the primary colors.

How could I not be proud of her? Actually, our printer is busier than before. I made sure that I printed all her online drawings. I might as well frame some.

On good news

It is so overwhelming when you are told with good news, especially from someone special to you. Last night, a friend called checking on us here. In our conversation, she mentioned many things. Nevertheless, the focal point there that made me very happy was the good news that they are expecting their second baby. Though it was unplanned, I am happy that they embraced it as God's gift. I know we all have problems but I guess if their problem is only to find someone to mind their child while they are both at work is not a problem at all. They are both lucky that they are employed, don’t cha think?

In life, there is this being ready and being shocked! I would prepare being ready in everything; however, surprises are thrilling [good surprise, huh]. I congratulate my dear friends on this challenging but good news. I hope that everything goes well on her pregnancy and with their situation. That’s all I can say.
