How to treat dry and cracked lips?

Despite the number of lip balms that I bought, my lips still bleed.They are very dry that it could not be treated with a simple jar of vaseline.Well,that is the evidence,dry cracked lips. I am always worried when winter is here.Aside from my bloating tummy, here are my lips that could not resist from the dry temperature. I have checked some humidifiers in shops, unfornately,none is available.We are always indoors because of my daughter and I could not afford roaming around when I know that my daughter would deeply be affected.

There once was a day when she had bleeding lips, too.As a kid who couldn't tell what and how she is feeling, she just keep quite.I just wonder how in heaven that there is cold and humid country like mine.

I am not a risk taker but a waster

I knew that I am not a risk taker, if I am; I should have done what is against to my family’s will. I once was granted a scholarship that would enable me to choose degrees that could definitely change my family’s lives for the better. However, my families were afraid that at a young age (15.½) I would not be able to take care of myself once I embark a new career in the big city. Reports and news are not so good with living outside their parameters so they could not allow it to happen. On the other hand, I was willing to leave the island to go ahead with any course. But since no one has permitted me, I just decided to stay.

I have realized now how big my mistake was. If I did not limit myself, if only I tried, who knows? I might have been a successful doctor, a lawyer or a teacher by this time. My dreams have always been part on a medical field. I also want to be a teacher because I just love holding a pen and checking and taking down notes. We are poor. My parents could not afford to send me to college. And maybe, they too were afraid to take risk. Anyway, the reason why I have thought of this is that when I got the second chance to go ahead with my dream career, I messed up. I instead took a computer degree that was way far from what I intended to do. I found it uninteresting but while on the process, I began loving it because computers seemed to take over the entire universe. People from every angle started to welcome it, as their simpler means of communicating with love ones from afar. Well, I know that more and more people are thankful for this technology, I am just so happy to be part of this. I knew that even if I messed up, even if I did not able to get my aspired doctorate or nursing degree, I am still lucky to have achieved this degree. I also went for a care-giving course where I am glad to apply it at home. I have attended some cases where they needed my slightly limited knowledge about FIRST AID just because they trusted me. My training at Red Cross was just limited but I am happy that I helped many people already.

I guess that is the right explaination to what size i am.My mother and aunts looked at me as a big woman,with fatty belly.But there were times that they couldn't fit to my clothes. They also let me tried a blouse where my Aunt could not fit in but to me was just too loose.That what made them wonder because I looked big but my clothe's size is not that big at all.My SIL[sister in law] here couldn't believe too that I am wearing size 8[UK] clothes for what she thinksI am 12-14.As a matter of fact a friend gave me a size 12 sleeping gown where I kept pulling up while wearing it.

Is this eye black?

Well, I could not argue more with my sister in law about my eye color. Based on what she said, I know she could be colorblind. That made me think about my job interview when I was 17 years young, huh, almost 10 years ago. The Japanese employer commented on my eye color because I put on my bio-data the color black, and as he looked into my eyes, he said I am wrong because I do have brown eyes.

I could see that I have brown eyes. As a typical Filipino, of course. I would have loved to have blue eyes but nah; I began loving my own when I realized that mine is unique. I almost have the same with my husband, though it is a bit lighter.

I envy a friend whose by this time is happily sharing talks and stories with her families back home. I tried to get to her to ask how the flight went and how’s the baby keeping, but I guess she is still trying to adjust her body clock. Black Friday sale

My chance of sending a new camera to my parents has long passed. I was trying to get my parents a new digital camera so they can then give the old one to my neighbours who would need it most. It is amazing that they would keep on taking pictures and then anticipate for the outcome only after printing the developed film. Before, when I was in grade school, I love joining school activities because I will always have a new photo to see. I have compiled pictures from my grade one commencement exercise until I graduated high school. It is such a shame that I left them home because I really would like my daughter to see those.

I planned to buy the other day so I could send it to my sister in law who is now flying home. How slacker am I? I really have it on mind even before she concluded that she already has the ticket. Anyway, I would have to look for another chance now. I cannot send it through post because there is no guarantee that it would reach to them. At the mean time, I will take time now to browse for more cameras and memory stick at buy.com for their Black Friday sale. I guess I could save more in here as there is no more rushing.

Blogging together...

Today,my bestfriend and me is blogging at the same time.Not really blogging like writing but she is on her Dad's computer watching her you-tube on kids program while I am writing this post.

Mummy's bestfriend is quite enjoying her clicking of the mouse.The mouse is quite cute,just right for her cute little hands. She's loving her freedom because she didn't have this before.She surely can click the right button when selecting the videos she would like watching,of course, with Mum's supervision. Her toy computer is no longer in use and she finds it boring. She couldn't see the screen properly and it has no life at all as it is black and white. Anyway,I supposed she would not do any harm to her Dad's computer. This is going to be 5 years old soon so she should take care of her Dad's well taken care belonging.

An extra memory stick,too

I need a new memory stick with a bigger space. I have the 4-year-old memory stick here with only 128 mega bytes. That before is quite huge and we were contented with it. We used it when we had our trip to the bird sanctuary in Olango Island back in 2004. We only changed the camera, it was overcharged, and it exploded. It was no more repairable so we just let it go, with some memories behind it.

Anyway, we got a better one. We only need a new memory stick because I love taking photos. That will record the milestone that my little one is going through. I am looking forward to buy at least a 2GB space, I do not need burning every time, and I guess an external hard drive too, based on my previous post.

External hard drive for extra photos

Keeping thousands of photos and hundreds of documents in my computer is making it slow. I make sure to it that I burn photos every week but I just could not keep up. I kept on taking photos because I do not want to miss the beautiful snow outside. I have hundreds of them in a week so maybe to avoid missing some important files, I may consider going for an external hard drive. I just need to store important files straight to the extra hard drive and only do the burning when I have plenty of time.

A busy Mom like me always has extra time. That extra time is use in roaming round with my hubby’s bike together with my dear girl. She is learning to pedal her new Dora bike so that by summer she will be one of bicycle riders. She is so amazing when she asked for a helmet. She knew that helmet is for the bike. She started calling and naming things and the name that she gave to the pinky helmet is also “bike”… she also will ask some few things that she sees around. It is wonderful having such little person around learning to talk. “Mom, this is?” That is how good she is. Before she would ask, “This?”. At least she speaks two syllables now.

Tankless water heater

Living in a foreign country with a complete different state than what we were used to is not easy. First, is the water, back home we bathe with cool water to cool down our body heat. Here, the water needs to be heated before we could plunge ourselves in a bathtub or the shower. Washing the dishes manually is not also possible with cold water as we could suffer from frostbites. The issue with boiling water and heating the house is a complete opposite to ours where we are using air conditioners and fans just to keep our houses’ temperature in an acceptable state. Anyway, the most shocking difference is the bills. If I would have to convert the expenses we accrue here, the people back home would not believe it. What we spent here for our monthly bills could feed a family for a year. That is how hard it is.

I have been planning to reduce our bills by at least 50%. We heat the water for 4-6 hours a day and that is unbelievable. I understand that we need to because it is winter. Nevertheless, this rate compared to our previous bills is way 100% higher. We have a concern with our water tank, as I feel that it does not hold hot water for long, at least 2-3 hours. It cools down easily and the landlord has not done something about it. If would have a choice, I will choose a tankless water heater. The big tank that we have here does not only take a big space, it also needs replacement and it looks ugly.
