As I have said, I am very happy that there is just my family alone living in this house. We are not living with SIL anymore that brought much trouble. There wasn’t freedom just what we are used to doing. And I cannot imagine having to live in that state anymore. Well, my family needs flexibility too. I would like my girl to enjoy doing the things that she likes doing. The thing that we are limited to doing something is frustrating especially with a toddler. I should say that her time being on TV watching her favourite programs is limited. That’s the mean reason why we bought another TV. But it was the same situation, we could not watch just because we are watching over our noise.

However I don’t want to think of that anymore. I was a bit distressed and I am happy that I visited home and enjoyed over 7 weeks there. Now we do not need to worry of having to mind every steps we do. I am glad that my girl could do her things too. She had time off from computer and TV and now she is going back to her routine. I should say that LCD tvs are not yet known in my place. I bet she wasn’t interested of watching there because she has loads of playmates to play with too. She couldn’t stay with my computer for over 5 minutes either because of that reason.

It would not be normal when a toddler doesn’t copy you from doing things around the house. My daughter and I are together 24/7 and she does things that I do. That would include household choirs and leisure. We always compete with my computer because like me, she would not want to use her Dad’s computer. Well, she controls the channels on TV too, at least most of the time. It actually helps having two sets at home. But who would like big bills at the end of each month?

Anyway, Dad’s computer restricts her from using the web camera that she likes using when she plays online. There is a particular program where she joins the kiddy characters through web cam that she enjoys very much. I am thinking maybe it would be good to invest on inexpensive but worth things like refurbished laptops. I do not want a desktop due to our frequent moving out. However, she will be going to school very soon and I guess it would not be good if I allow her play after her busy day.

Achieving a college degree is not easy for me. I have thought of saving for that purpose right after I graduate high school; however, the salary I was earning was not quite enough if I would have to pursue it. Thankfully, an Aunt offered me education for at least 2 years in computer technology, it is just a vocational course but it made a lot of difference. It was through it that I became much independent. Now, I am thinking of going in for a deeper course, at least something that would benefit my entire family. However, I am still waiting for that particular time. I have my own family now and it would be hard on my hubby to send both my daughter and me to school. I focus on helping my brothers and sisters get their degree before me. At least it would be easy both on my parents.

I am actually a bit skeptical of going in for a student loan. There are companies offering student loans, one of which is available online, the Premier Student Loans. I just do not know if that is a good thing to do right at this moment, hence recession. We are tight with our finances and I think going home for that purpose would be great.

We all love putting things on hold, don’t we? I know most of you would agree with me especially when we feel that there is no need to hurry. There is something we could do that we think necessary than backing up files on our computer. Is there really a need to do that when we own the unit? WRONG! We are not sure when we are safe when browsing the net so we all have to do some back ups aside from our antivirus software. I had had trouble retrieving some of my files when my computer crashed when I tried to add additional web cam, aside from the built in. When it happened, I didn’t have choice but reformat it. Anyway, it may not be easy backing up our files, however online backup offered by software manufacturers are available to purchase whenever we need it. That would make things easier. For me, I transfer my photos both to a CD and to my USB that is to make sure that I will not lose those precious moments we have.

It’s been a month ago that I last smelled a fresh scent of air conditioners. I like being on an air-conditioned environment while on our holiday because the temperature is so cool that I could just sleep most days. I bet you will agree with me. Being on a humid climate is tiring because the heat makes me drowsy. The dust is too much and I think my daughter would not survive there. Unless of course she will stay in the island (where I grew up) far from pollutants.

Well, I don’t think we would need air conditioners here as we need heat. It is amazing that we complain of heat in the Philippines while this country has too much cold. We paid too much for our heating bills. And heat hurts. Our heaters produce dry air and I guess this is why my nose bleeds at times. A friend advised us to get purifiers because we also have a kid. If I fee uneasy with such temperature and for sure she would feel the same too. Have ever wondered if we could just put something like AC filters to filter the heat? I know that’s’ silly of me. But is there something like that? We are using portable heaters that make the thing worst.

We are now happy being just the three of us. I can do anything I want to do and I can always just leave something undone without worrying that somebody might be disturbed. The holiday was awesome. I’ve spent time with my family who didn’t mind minding my girl was I was stuck in the city because there wasn’t any boat on duty because of typhoon. I also had time just sitting without having to think of what to cook for dinner as I got cooks that are very attentive. Anyway, one of the things that I am happy having to own the entire space is the issue of me doing my online activities in the living room. I didn’t have to run every now and then whenever my girl is doing something here. I used to do that in our bedroom and that was quite bothering. I have also thought of going in for a new desktop computer just to have this laptop use occasionally. I love using the desktop though it would require more wires to be put aside properly because of this inquisitive toddler.

Well, a friend offered a hand. He assembles CPU and it is all up to me which parts I want to put in e.g. motherboard, memory capacity and all. However, I know that we would not need a rackmount for the computer this time because my daughter is very active with her computer activities too. I just need time to have this done. I guess our television does need mounting on the wall whenever we are ready to welcome another baby. We could not afford to see this big screen damaged nor the weight to fall on a crawling baby, heaven forbids!

Does age really matter when this new generation is in a hurry to commit things that are exclusively for adult only?

I am shocked when I came home for a short visit because most of the kids(at least kids when I left 3 years and 5 mos ago) already have their own kids???Also, the younger generation are exposed to somewhat appalling truth, sexuality. I am worried in the first place because I got teenager siblings who are susceptible to temptations. I have a 14 year old sister who is already involved in a lusty puppy love relationship. However, what could we do if anything happens in our absence? HEAVEN foRbids!!! I really want them to get something good for themselves. If it would take me to save to the least cent I would do that just for them.

When I was growing up, my mother would usually say it is not the right age for me yet to apply some facial cleansers, I was 16. I only started putting up lipstick when I was 20. Also, boyfriend-girlfriend relationship was forbidden.I never ever got a chance to welcome suitors at home. There were at least a few ha ha. I got married at 21. That was very/too young. But it was considered, hence I had the bigger chance to go abroad, work and earn for a living to help them, hence Filipino traits. Come on, that age this time is already very old when you compare the current situation back home. A neighbor got her son at age 13, 2 cousins at 16. You could hardly see them eat good food because of poverty and yet they are there forced to their sort of pitiful lives. At a very young age, they haven’t taste earning money to buy themselves clothes that would make them feel proud of themselves.

I haven’t achieve my dreams as a sister and a daughter,yet. I haven’t got a job. But motherhood is incomparable.

The reason why I hesitated posting my brother’s drawings here is theft; hence, hacking is common. The onus is on me. Why post when scared anyway? Is there a way that I could stop somebody to steal those drawings?

This applies to our entire online activities that require us to get antivirus software. I hate renewing it every year because we are just wasting money, as we do not visit suspicious websites. I know it is for our sake, however, it does not give us the complete protection we need. It would as well block some PDF or files that they think have threats [when I know they are not e.g. downloadable governmental forms], thus requires me to restart my system. It demands on investing much on software that gives everything just to have a worry-free web surfing.

Good news, by the way, because VIPRE Antivirus + Antispyware is here. Who would love sticking to old ones when a more advance software is here? We have missed precious moments because of the absence of our portable digital camera, however I don’t regret leaving it behind for my family to use. I really miss having a camera every time our girl does something worth snapping. However, I am on the search for an affordable camera online. I have been browsing at buy.com, unfortunately, I would have to negotiate some of my friends again to buy one for me, hence they do not ship outside the US. There are loads on sale there, including the very camera that I heart,the cybershot by Sony.

The thing that I love with it is the battery as I am fed up with rechargeable alkaline.I would really love to have it as soon as possible before Christmas.

When governments worldwide announced recession, people were forced to save even more tightly just to survive. We are affected in many ways, which is why I could not think of wasting money on unnecessary things. Let us talk about having to hire a dietitian or nutritionist to monitor our diet or to give us advice at any cost. We could not even afford for a doctor’s visit when we are sick. However, I could understand why ads on TV inviting people to visit their clinics for laser hair removals, laser eye surgeries, weight loss and maintenance and all, just to have their business stand despite downturn and to avoid closing their doors.

Anyway, if I would have to choose, I guess it is good to try diet pill after careful research if I want to lose weight just to avoid unnecessary spending. If it does no harm to me, much better.
