Guitar for the rock stars

The Dad opposed to sending our little girl to a dancing school, he said it is unnecessary as education is his main aim this time. We can send her to a music school instead so she can learn piano or guitar, she likes music anyway so we hope to do that. I did mention that she is looking forward to buying her first string guitar when she is eight.
Well, as I don't have an idea with what other types of guitars are there, I just found out that a brand epiphone les paul junior is as well a good choice, suppose we want her to express herself. This definitely is for the rock star wannabe and we'll see what she would like in a few years time.

Close family ties

Whoever believes that close families ties only happens in the Philippines? The reason why this popped to my head is because I feel that some families here are closer than what we are back home. We of course can differentiate from being supportive to the parents or the children even when the chilren have their own families because we do support both home and those in Africa. Sometimes it also makes me sick thinking that we have our own kids to mind here, that we should be thinking of their sake; say college and their future. However, as our conscience dictates, we have to help those in need.

We have our friends here who are close to their children but none of them are dependant to each other. Both live separate lives, teaching their children to be independent on anything. Sometimes I feel that my families are dependent enough that even the tiniest problem I have to solve. Our finances is scarce but we cannot stop to help them. Close families,it is!

Pins for any occasions

There are plenty of happenings every year and one of them is the anniversary for those who died from fighting for their country. Every year, people in church wear pins to pay respect for them. Therefore, every year a newly made poppy is up for sale. Some do not actually stay longer. My thought about it is suppose we make something that is long lasting. We could as well order custom pins for other purposes for both my husband and I organizations. It will definitely save us and make our part meaningful.

Chocolates, my fab!

The girls received a package from my friend in the USA. It has clothes and much more to everyone's delight are boxes of premium chocolates. We do not normally eat chocolates but these special chocolates are just too good to be ignored. Lindt and Ferrero Rocher, they are! Well, 2 boxes are gone now. We are now into this dark chocolate, Lindt Excellence that takes time to swallow really. I did think of getting this type of chocolate on Christmas, but to be honest, it's pretty expensive for me. The first time I tasted this chocolate was when another friend gave us a hamper of goodies. Oh God, thank you for the good friends we have!

What's for this heart's day?

I have never focused on giving my husband anything on Valentines. And this Valentines should not be the same as the past ones. He worked hard for the past years and still is and I hope that I would not fail this time. I know it is quite awkward giving him present using his own money, but going an extra mile with a bit of a surprise would mean a lot, not only to him but to me as well.

I am looking for a perfect valentine's day gifts for him. That would mean more than one as I would want to give not only for this year but for the previous years. If you think your husband deserves a special gift, don't wait for another year before giving it to him. I lack on this part and I think he does too because he might feel that Valentine's day is just an ordinary day for me.

High heeled sandals

Are they suitable for girls like this little girl of mine who turned 5 here and always shows off that she can wear one? I would say, it is just giving me heart attack each time she is on it. She got it as her birthday present and only realized that she needed to put it on last night. She's been wearing it since then and it makes a whole lot of noise. A very annoying one. It's plastic, and I supposed it is for a dolly with big feet.

I am scared to wear high heels because I might trip. However, aside from being scared, they also are also the most uncomfortable footwear! I say it does make me look elegant and could add a bit of an inch to my height, but nah, I don't need it.

Long lasting present

A long lasting present would mean a long lasting relationship between the giver and the receiver. Yes, I find every present special, those that I could keep to remind me of that someone. We got presents from my little girl's godmother, a keepsake box and a few bits that go in to keep safely. It always reminds her that the keepsake box is given by her on her first Christmas, the silver grooming set on her Christening and etc.

I think if I will be given something of good quality but not too expensive, steel pendants would do. It would not break easily , it is like the present that my husband gave me on our wedding. Yes, it is good to still keep it though I don't wear the necklace. Any stell pendant designs would look best with it.

January, how good to see you!

This month is flooded with loads of activities. I have three birthdays, my little sister who is 12, my nephew 8 and my youngest who is turning two. We've just returned back to school. I also have two important appointments to attend to, one to be the scariest and I hope I could overcome it, with flying colors.

How good it is to see 2012! I will be a year older and wiser this time.I hope this year will be the best for everybody.
